Amigos in Alexandra offers a relaxed, casual vibe—perfect for an easy-going lunch. It wasn’t busy when I visited, so the atmosphere was calm and the service was prompt, friendly, and efficient.nnPictured are:nnTotopos y Salsas – House-made corn chips with salsannCarnitas – Pulled pork soft taconnBaja Fish – Beer-battered fish soft taconnThe corn chips were perfectly crisp, and the fresh salsa was mild and refreshing—a great way to start the meal.nnThe soft tacos were generously filled and served fresh. The Carnitas taco had a rich flavour, though it was quite juicy—tomato juices made it a bit messy to eat.nnThe Baja Fish taco was the standout. Lightly crispy with a pleasant kick of spice, it was packed with flavour and really came together beautifully. I actually found myself wishing I’d ordered two of those instead of the pork!
Great staff and lovely food. Some quirky taco combinations. A few branches around the South Island well worth visiting.
Stopped in here for dinner while in Alex recently, and had a lovely time. Service was great - even from a newbie getting the hang of things! - and food and drink delish! Only slight disappointment was some of our tacos were cold, but understand it was probably due to wanting to serve them all at once! Will visit again when we're back down that way.
Nice Mexico food. Pork ribs were really good. Not spicy enough, adapted a little bit to local flavor. Asked for green salsa to add in Tacos, very tasty.
