Had my hair cut here once prior and was a good experience. Got my hair cut here a almost two months back and got absolutely butchered. Cut started 20 mins late, he then rushed my haircut and charged me for a transition cut because he had to take lots off despite me saying I didn't want much off the top. Didn't fade it and didn't cut the hair at the top to an even length either. Clipped my ear twice. Two stars cause first time I visited the cut was alg and all the barbers are real nice guys. Pictures are what I asked for and what I left with.nnIn response to owner: I had my haircut in between that period elsewhere. Why would I book a transformation cut anyway if I just wanted an inch off the top and a fade. That isn't complicated and my current barber will do that in 25 mins with a better result. I will delete the other part out of good faith but the conversation the barber had with me during the cut definitely says otherwise.
Definitely one of the best barber shops in Christchurch. I’ve tried a number of neighbourhood barbers and also several of the very well known barbershops with my sons over the years, and Ambitions is up there with the best - definitely my youngest son’s favourite! He likes that the fades/skin fades are proper fades unlike other places and that they always do a great job. The staff are fantastic with kids and I love how they really engage with them through chat and banter. They make them feel grownup and respected, not like little kids. Took my nephews from out of town there today and they are very happy as well!
I walked past the studio one day with my partner, me sporting a wild mullet, and these fellas gave us a wave. That's all it took to get me in for a cut. They didn't disappoint, friendly as, good banter, nice clean cut. The sort of barbers I've been looking for since moving to Christchurch a year ago. I'll be coming back for sure how good.
20/15 hair cuts from the man him self jordan. Absolute god. the boys here have the best vibe and banter with each other and the customers 100% recommend
Ambitions room is awesome. Down to earth friendly local barber with banter. Mata the owner is the man! Glad I found a local barber I like and trust.
