Story

Welcome to Amberley Community Preschool and Nursery. We have two centres in the heart of Amberley, servicing whanau and children from 6 months to 5 years.

-Amberley Community Preschool and Nursery, situated at 3 Douglas Road welcomes children from 6 months to 5 years old. We have a wonderful nursery environment that is very much a part of the wider preschool. We believe this empowers transitioning children to make their way into the preschool with a sense of belonging and familiarity. Our preschool environment boasts a spacious outdoor area with plenty of room to challenge little minds and bodies. Our hours here are a little longer, we open at 8.00am and close at 5.00pm.

-The newly built Amberley Community Prep School is just down the way, at 44 Douglas Road. Our prep school is available to children from 3 1/2 to 5 years and is open from 8.15am to 3.30pm. The prep school hopes to provide children with the freedom to embrace new ideas and push boundaries in an adaptable learning environment, empowering children to make choices about their own learning.

Our community centres embrace ‘Manaakitanga’; the care and hospitality of those around us. Manaakitanga underpins our philosophy and sees that children are cared for with upmost respect. In turn children learn to care for the people, the community, the environment- the world.

Fantastic nursery where your children can express themselves in a happy and safe environment. The staff are so friendly and my daughter absolutely flourished here. You are kept upto date on what's going on and the CCTV every where is really reassuring that your child is being cared for properly. Highly recommend this fabulous family run nursery.
I was recommended to send my child here, what a little gem of a place, she has really flourished and made friends, and can’t wait to get out of the house for nursery, the regular updates on her progress have been fabulous, all the staff here have been supportive and helpful in making sure her early learning days are all positive! Highly recommend family run facility.
Both our daughters are really settled and happy at nursery. The Amberley team are very caring, welcoming and friendly. The outdoor space is fantastic, lots of space to play and explore and there is always lots of messy play! My eldest has recently started forest school with Mark, she is loving exploring the woods, building things and feeding the birds.
I would not recommend this nursery, as they do not look after the children properly, they over charge nursery fees, as my boy went here and they never watched him properly, causing injury to him.
Amberley Nursery is quite simply FANTASTIC! My daughter went there 7 years ago and the majority of the amazing staff are the same which I think speaks volumes these days along with some amazing new editions. My youngest daughter now attends and has some health conditions which the nursery have always been so proactive in finding ways in which they can help her and also help me know she is safe. When she has unfortunately been in hospital they go out of their way to check up on her. She has some social anxiety issues and the nursery have once again gone over and above to make her feel comfortable and the progress she has made in the last few months is just fantastic! You only have to look at the weekly Facebook updates to see how much fun the children have, the staff clearly love where they work and what they do and this comes across in the amazing activities they put together for the children! 10000000% the best nursery in Bexhill maybe even the world!
Kylo has absolutely loved his time at amberley. In particular his favourite part has always been forest school trips with Mark & outdoor activities in the garden. Thank you all for making kylos nursery experiance a positive one!
