The BEST pie I’ve had in NZ and OZ so far!! I had the smoked beef cheek and hubby had the pepper steak. The pastry was so light and flaky but not too buttery, the filling was plentiful and so tasty! The bum was the perfect thickness so you can hold and eat - I prefer to scoop my filling out and eat separately! Wish I could take back to OZ!
If you’re driving through Amberley you have to try their pies. This place got top marks from me and my son and we know our pies. Was recommended by a friend and so happy we stopped.
We love the special flavour over there! Never try this hoki pie elsewhere and it’s really YUM. The owner is nice and shared with us all the wines he used in his pies and man you can really taste the foods when it’s being made by heart! Love it
Had the pork and apple, and what a bloody treat it was!! Flaky, light pastry with tender pork and plenty of apple to complete this 10/10 pie. Perfect stop on your road trip!
