Blessed. So lovely, the caretakers are simply beautiful souls. I felt so very cared, graciously polite and accomodating resulting staying 4 nights. Close proximity to town, the kitchen so spacious. The first hotel I have stayed at where there are room allocations for storage space in kitchen cupboard and fridge. I found it so fabulous!!! The hotel is so very organised with a great spacious lounge with fireplace and kitchen.nUpon leaving had a great hug with Mrs Caretaker, she is such a treasure as a hotel manager and also Mr Caretaker her husband.nDefinitely recommend to others, will return later in the year to stay once again.nThank you lovelies!!!
Great little place with self-catering kitchen, cozy TV-free lounge with fireplace though there’s a secluded upstairs lounge with TV and hot-tub. Hosts were amazing and friendly, as were some of the regular guests. Great access to the lake for morning walks and advantageous positioning for TC pow day missions. Would happily stay again.
We had a lovely stay here at the altamont lodge, it was cosy, had great facilities such as laundry and kitchen and was all spotlessly clean. It is only about a 15-20 minute walk into the main area and close to other attractions such as vineyards or hikes by driving. Overall it was a great place to stop for a few nights and relax in the lovely TV room.
Absolutely loved my stay here! Lynn and Jeff were a true host! Great sense of humor and always available !nMy room was very comfortable, spacious and clean! The lounge set up is perfect: ladies bathroom had two showers, two toilets and three sink with face towels always available. The kitchen area was large with anything you may need as well some extras like coffee, tea and sugar! Very well organized !nThey also had a hot tub and a lounge area which I didn’t use! Car park was available inside the property!nTo me the highlight was the complimentary bike available to ride around lake Wanaka! It was so much fun! There are so many bike paths around!nHighly recommended staying here!
Super friendly staff, huge kitchen with a dishwasher, hot tub outside, and super cosy vibes! This didn't feel like a normal hostel, it really just felt like coming home when we checked in we were given a walkthrough by the lovely lady at reception which no other accommodation has done for us. Spare towels, pillows, and blankets all provided at no extra cost.
