Great service and quality food. I had the best pork belly and my boyfriend loved his fried chicken burger. Their Raglan coffee is also great, such an amazing flavour to it. Atmosphere is great and the place is very clean and well decorated. Highly recommend!
What a brilliant place to come after a long week of work. It has a relaxing atmosphere complemented by amazing service A massive thank you to Pavel who made the evening really enjoyable and who actually cares, it is refreshing, good humoured and simply fun. There are endless options in Cambridge, simply something for everyone. BUT Sometimes all you need is a wholesome meal, a friendly chat and a great place to relax.
Unexpectedly amazing! Stopped here to grab a meal on a long journey and would have been happy with anything, but this place knocked us out. Quality ingredients superbly cooked and the service was very friendly and efficient. I recommend making a reservation, this place is deservedly popular. The McDonalds style chips were a little incongruous beside such exquisite plates but I enjoyed them anyway.
Great food and excellent service. Oysters were great as was prosecco. Not the cheapest meal and portion sizes for the mains were a bit on the light side. Disappointed that the hollandaise with the fish wasn't homemade.
Nice atmosphere. Well set out areas to relax and enjoy the time. Friendly staff. Probably pay to book ahead if you want a meal. We only had drinks which they were able to seat us for
Near the end of our 9 week visit to NZ from San Francisco including meals at 2- & 3-hat restaurants such as Cocoro, Hello Beasty, Logan Brown & Onslow, we thought dinner at Alpha Street was one of our best! Thanks to the new owners & chef Nicole. Salt & pepper calamari was equal to our gold standard of Dux in CHCH, & the lamb rump & vegetables green beans & broccolini were cooked & plated to perfection. Wine pairings & sticky date pudding were terrific - we hope to be back again on a future visit.
It is always an absolute delight dining at Alpha. After spending 4 years going to every restaurant in Hamilton to find the best one with 5 star quality food, we found it in the Alpha Cafe. We will not try another restaurant now, because we doubt we could find one to match the quality of food, service and experience. We go once a month on our date night & still salivate when thinking about the experience to come. I will/would recommend Alpha to anyone & know they would be well rewarded by the experience. I, personally would recommend the salt & pepper squid & the beef rib eye. The latter, you can just about cut with a fork & is always, always, always cooked to perfection. Your chefs & wait staff are a credit to your establishment & provide an absolute masterclass in a dining experience. Love it. Love it. Love it.
Two years ago, the venue had very nice food and service. The food had progressively gotten worse so we stopped going. We stepped in today from our walk and ordered two beers. They said they would bring the beers to us. They only had four tables being served so not busy at all. After 10 minutes, I had to remind them of the beer order. Waited another 5 minutes so I demanded my money back. Walked down to the Good George and was poured a beer within 30 seconds of my payment.
Young staff had very poor attitudes. Were not friendly, just very fake and a tad rude. Ordered fish that was covered in fish scales for 45 dollars and they refused to discount or refund price of dish. Could get a better piece of fish from the local fish n chip shop. Bad experience. Overpriced. Would not recommend.Food: 1/5
The food and service were just so excellent. The location is awesome as it's in the National Hotel. Shout out to the waiter who managed our table on an especially busy night. Cheers Alpha Street Staff!
