Story

Welcome to Alongtail, a dog travel and lifestyle website based in Wellington, New Zealand. Alongtail is a place to find the best dog friendly places to stay and play, product reviews, recipes to keep your dog happy, training tips from reputable trainers across the globe and so much more. If you love travelling with your dogs then you have come to the right place.

Inspired by our first two dogs, Jessie and Jackman, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, we embarked on this journey when we encountered challenges searching for dog friendly accommodation around New Zealand. Hours searching the internet for dog friendly accommodation often lead us to giving up and not bringing our dogs with us. No more, we have searched far and wide for the best dog friendly places, which we share here.
