I wish I could give this more than 5 stars! This is the only place anyone should stay while in New Plymouth! I made the mistake of booking another place in town and regretted it the moment I walked in. I started searching for places to go instead. I called and Bobby could not have been nicer saying she had room and was more than happy to have me. Within a few minutes I was there and felt safe and welcomed. The room and connecting bathroom is very neat,clean, and has everything you could ever need. The bed is so comfortable and I’ve slept the best I when my whole time traveling! The view is stunning with a little creek with flowers flowing through the backyard. Bobby and her Ian are both so sweet to give you information, tips/tricks about New Zealand. I’m glad I got to meet Mila spelling before I left too, she’s such a cute puppy!! Thank you guys again and next time I’m this way I’ll be sure to book again!
Stayed here for the mb20 concert. Perfect place to stay. Easily accessible, clean, tidy, beautifully looked after and just a short walk to bowl of Brooklands. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. Can't say enough positive things and will be staying here again on my next visit to New Plymouth. Highly, highly recommend. Thanks Ian and Bobby for an amazing stay.
Absolutely could not fault this place, the couple can't do enough for you. We stayed one night, rolled into New Plymouth with nowhere to stay. Sorry, I didn't catch your name!nHad our to rooms ready, waiting and spotless. Plenty of plates, utensils, and appliances to cook for yourself, or alternatively it was suggested that we get take-out from up the road, go down to the beach and watch the sunset, then go to the park for the festival of lights.nThe accommodation is in a very tranquil place for an in-town location. The couple joined us for breakfast this morning and we felt unlike guests but part of the family!! Would certainly come back again, however that's quite remote unfortunately as we live the other side of the world!!nLloyd, Andrea, and Emma!!
We had a great experience on our 3 day stay at Almost Heaven. Ian and Bobby were wonderful hosts and I recommend anyone planning a trip to New Plymouth to stay here. Shirley and Murray
A lovely BNB. Quiet and tranquil next to the stream. Clean, modern house built to be a BNB. Good bathroom and bedroom arrangement. Also good parking. The continental breakfast was well worth the $10 price. Will highly commend. Not too far from town centre but do need to drive. Nothing is too far in New Plymouth anyways.
