Ally is a superb Swim Coach. Her ability to see beyond the athlete and breakdown the swim stroke to its finest points, and then identify areas to work on, is amazing.nEach time I have a session with Ally I come away as a better swimmer.nHighly recommended.
After making a transition from multiport to Ironman/triathlon my swimming technique was definitely a ‘work-on’. I had attended surf club squad-swimming sessions for a couple of terms plus the usual Utube/Googling of technique and drills, and managed to develop a passable swim stroke - but never an effortless one. When I got the opportunity of a stroke analysis session with Ally I signed up straight away.nShe didn’t disappoint!nAfter a short warmup Ally quickly homed in on several basic but crucial skills I could improve on one example-floating! and techniques/exercises to use. I came away from the session with some very valuable learning, a more relaxed and efficient stroke, and some great over winter drills and skills to work on. Can’t wait for a follow up session. 5-stars!
Would highly recommend sessions to anyone thinking about it. One on one training, can't beat it - well worth the money. Ally spotted all the small and big! things where improvement might be made. Ally was kind and clear in her suggestions, one new thing at a time and then we kept building on it over the session. I'd say I'm a very average swimmer, and over an hour we looked at breaststroke, backstroke and front crawl. I left with them all in way better shape - amazed at the amount of improvement, it was transforming! Looking forward to putting it all into practice in the pool and the sea
Amazing coach - Ally listens to understand, is free in her thinking of what is needed to support the whole person. She understanding the demands of life and has worked the right training plan to support the goals. Her ability to support confidence in the water and all the other more technical things of learning to swim in the open water has given amazing me confidence to 'just do it'. Managed to sneak in a last minute session with Ally on one of her whirlwind trips to Tauranga, What an experience!nI didn't know what to expect but after explaining my racing needs she knew exactly what to look for to aid in making me faster, She gave me a bunch of things to work on which even with only a few laps practice made me feel faster!nWill certainly be in for another session!
