We have always used Southern Comfort for our Border Collie who is now almost 4. Karen and her team do an excellent job of looking after our fur babies and all requests and questions are responded to, and accommodated very well. We were away for 4 weeks this time and it was the first time Rex was away from us for that long and I am chuffed that we decided to leave him with Southern Comfort. He’s come back happy, content and well looked after. Highly recommend these guys
Very disappointed in this service. I had both my cats in the cattery for 9 days. Having driven 5 hours from the Bay of Islands to be told I cookldnt see where they were to be boarded was not what I expected. When I collected them I was very sorry to see both had lost weight and were incredibly thirsty. A week later a visit to an emergency vet showed on one of my cats a wound that was not healing and needed treatment which would have happened while at the cattery because upon collection they were housed inside at my new home.I would not recommend this service
It was our very first time leaving our cat at Southern Comfort cattery for three weeks. We emailed them in her first week of stay to see how she was settling in and we got a reply back promptly.nnWhen we came to pick up our cat, the person at reception was also one of the people who cared for our cat seem genuinely enjoyed looking after her.nnThank you again for taking such a good care of our cat for the last three weeks.
Our first time.using Southern Comfort Kennels over the Xmas break. VERY impressed. Professional, friendly, good communication. Will definitely use them again, and recommend to others.
We put our dog moose in there for 5days it was am emergency and they took him with no problems.nWhen we arrived the surroundings were like a holiday camp, wow I could have stayed there.nThe staff were amazing and the kennels were clean big and just like a holiday home for dogs.nMy daughter and I were very impressed.nI would definitely recommend these kennels to everyone.nWe live out west and the trek was well worth it.
