Story

This 1905 historic homestead has been fully restored back to its former glory and is now open to the public as a licensed cafe, conference and wedding venue. Come inside and view this beautiful property for yourself. Alfred Coles House is located in the grounds of the 4-star Settlers Motor Lodge. Free parking is permitted in the motel grounds so you can park right outside the door of the cafe. Open Tuesday-Friday 7.30am-3pm and Saturday 9am-3pm.

Not extremely friendly, gorgeous old house real vintage, used to go there for a takeaway coffee but they stopped that
Very enjoyable high tea. A lovely atmosphere and food was delicious. However it would've been nice to have not had to leave by 3pm..
Nicely restored period mansion with good cafe. Pity of the ugly in-your-face soft-drink fridge in the cafe, which completely destroys the authentic historic atmosphere. We did not buy anything from this fridge just for that reason. Better put it in the entrance hall under the stairs...
Nice cafe counter service, too much sauce all over the food when it arrived. Would have appreciated a smaller quantity on the side to add to my taste. Table for 2 was too small. Groupon voucher we had only covered the mains. Lovely old house, back from the road and the traffic.
The cafe staff were friendly and the conference facilities were warm, light and comfortable
