Cool for backpacker because its cheap. But the 5min $2 showers are shit men showers don’t need the coin to activate, just click on the shower number. The shared space are limited to the minimum.nHad a nice stay but i don’t think i would have come if it wasn’t for work.
I spent a week here over Christmas in my caravan, and then another night in a cabin while my caravan was being repaired. The caravan sites are quite spacious and mine had two water taps, shared with maybe three others. When very busy, people parking can make moving the caravan around a bit tricky, but they were happy to assist.nnThe kitchen and toilets were clean, although quite old - two of the elements on the stove did not work, but they had several stand alone elements as well, plus a couple of kettles. Surprisingly, there's a big walk in chiller, with a chest freezer - very full, so good luck to those with stuff at the bottom! They do have Zenbu wifi but it was cheaper to use my phone data so I can't comment on quality.nnThey left instructions out for where to park, so I didn't really interact with staff except to check in to the cabin on my second visit. Oh - a staff member did come round to investigate a complaint about noise. I wasn't in when the noise happened - everything was quiet at night.nnThe cabin was fairly basic - a short double bed, three bunks, a table and a couple of chairs. I had to supply my own bedding - they had none available at the time to rent.nnThe location is very quiet, but it's easy to get to the main road to Ranfurly, and the wonderful Industry Lane Eatery is five minute's walk away. For those who need it, VTNZ is across the street.

Lovely setting for park. Shame the facilities were long past their use by date. Cleaning hours all over the place making facilities hard to use when awash with water. Waited nearly an hour to checkin at supposed office times. Would not be back.
3 stars, could so easily be more though. Location is great, yip it in the industrial part of Alex but big whoop. Town is only 3mins drive away. Service, can't really fault. The desk lady was lovely on arrival and when there was a wifi issue it was solved. Facilities are fine, washing machines are only $2. We had a self contained unit, the rooms are fine if not a little dated, with a little tlc this could easily be 4 stars. The place is full so hopefully there will be money in the pot to make a few wee changes.nThanks team, if we come back this way for another break we will be back.
