Nice and peaceful and handy location for Alexandra.nStaff were scarce...nShowers were one temperature fits all, too hot for me. A few out of order notices.
Cool for backpacker because its cheap. But the 5min $2 showers are shit men showers don’t need the coin to activate, just click on the shower number. The shared space are limited to the minimum.nHad a nice stay but i don’t think i would have come if it wasn’t for work.
I spent a week here over Christmas in my caravan, and then another night in a cabin while my caravan was being repaired. The caravan sites are quite spacious and mine had two water taps, shared with maybe three others. When very busy, people parking can make moving the caravan around a bit tricky, but they were happy to assist.nnThe kitchen and toilets were clean, although quite old - two of the elements on the stove did not work, but they had several stand alone elements as well, plus a couple of kettles. Surprisingly, there's a big walk in chiller, with a chest freezer - very full, so good luck to those with stuff at the bottom! They do have Zenbu wifi but it was cheaper to use my phone data so I can't comment on quality.nnThey left instructions out for where to park, so I didn't really interact with staff except to check in to the cabin on my second visit. Oh - a staff member did come round to investigate a complaint about noise. I wasn't in when the noise happened - everything was quiet at night.nnThe cabin was fairly basic - a short double bed, three bunks, a table and a couple of chairs. I had to supply my own bedding - they had none available at the time to rent.nnThe location is very quiet, but it's easy to get to the main road to Ranfurly, and the wonderful Industry Lane Eatery is five minute's walk away. For those who need it, VTNZ is across the street.
Large holiday park with facilities that are dated but clean. $2 for a tepid shower with poor pressure that at 5 degrees is too chilly to use was not desirable. When I asked for the water temp to be increased we were kindly offered the disabled shower facilities that were on a different system. These were is a state of disrepair but at least the shower was hot. Good central location, no views but easy to find with nice roomy powered sites and at $35pn for 2 people reasonable value.
A very good place for the whole family. Swimming pool that is not to deep for smaller children but still deep enough for the big kids to have a splash around. Excellent play ground for the little ones. Well appointed shower and toilet blocks with an excellent kitchen facilities . If you want your own space then you can't beat a cabin with kitchen dinning and lounge in one, very large bedroom with a queen bed and a single and your own bathroom. I would highly recommend this place to all. Safe and tidy place with good managment eager to help. And a bonus of a lovely security lady.
