When the Going Gets Tough – You Need a Solid Workhorse
The Albatross V is well equipped for all coastal tug tasks.
With a bollard pull of 10 tonnes, she has been handling a 300-tonne coastal barge out of Lyttelton for the past three years. She has deck-mounted towing bollards fore and aft with a hydraulic rope storage drum and towing rope.
Her Hiab crane – with a capacity of 5 tonnes – allows small boats to be stored on deck for transport, and enables the lifting of cargo or stores for transhipping. All her towing equipment is in place for coastal towing or salvage work.
She has full electrical auxiliary generation capacity with backup of 410v, 230v, 24v and 12v.
