Great cruise around the 'Long Harbour' small boat but comfy. George & his aide really looked after us. First Beer or wine was included and a homemade cookie was great. Saw many Hector's Dolphins and shags, NZ seals were lazing on the rocks.nI would highly recommend this smallish personal trip. Very friendly Springer Spaniel on board that can hear the dolphins clicks.
This was a wonderful experience. Me and my wife enjoyed seeing the dolphins, seals, and penguins. It was great that it is a family owned company. Did a great job and the personal touch with the drink and homemade biscuit put it over the top. If we ever get back to New Zealand it would be great to do again.
Took a Waitangi Day trip from Christchurch to Akaroa with three generations in two. This boat trip was a highlight for all. Stunning scenery, great information, action packed but never rushed and right on time. The crew and captain took great care of the passengers. Lots of great viewpoints throughout the boat for all weather. And the Dolphins and Fur Seal swimming around the boat were magnificent. Highly recommended and definitely a highlight of our visit to New Zealand.
Each time I have gone out with this company we have been treated to the sight of Hectors Dolphins, the smallest of all marine dolphins as well as seals and other marine life. In addition to the experienced and knowledgeable crew Akaroa Dolphins has the world's only dolphin dog who seems to sense the presence of the dolphins before anyone sees them and will rush to the best part of the vessel to see them from. You will also get a complimentary drink and biscuit whilst on board. Any time I'm down in Akaroa I will always make a point of an excursion with Akaroa Dolphins
The best boat tour I have been on. Local owners. Very knowledgeable about the area. He was able to direct us to see the dolphins, penguins, seals, and Albatross! His staff is very friendly and helpful. If you plan a trip to Akaroa, don't miss this!
