I stayed for a few months and loved it lovely staff, nice+clean rooms, safe+ quiet even though it's in a sort of busy area. Even though I was apparently in a small room, it still felt a decent size and the bathroom was great too. A huge bonus that my support dog was welcome too, she loved it there as well.Rooms: 5/5
This is a great, cost-effective alternative to the usually pricier Rydges. Just 8 minutes' walk to the airport, or a free shuttle available most of the day. Friendly owners, clean rooms. Best for people who like a firm bed. And if you are a light sleeper, request a room that isn't close to the street because there's heavy traffic in the small hours. Overall, a good stay, and would stay there again.
Impeccable stay. Used google maps to locate this motel and am glad I found it. Room was wonderful - spotless and flawless. Not just making up a story here - it really was like a new room. Service Mark was fantastic - walked me to my room and showed me facilities for early departure. Also filled me in on local points of interest. Extremely convenient to airport - 500 meters walk. My room faced the airport but noise was minimal - best of any airport hotel I have used. Perhaps only thing missing was a clock radio/alarm clock though I bring my own so not a deal breaker. Wish I had opportunity to stay longer!
Good service, liked the free airport schuttle whom picked us up at 1am, easy to contact from baggage collection. Bonus is if you have a ground floor room: The floor in the hall, reception, door pavement and tarred parking lot is at exactly the same level. No steps. This means 4 wheeled suitcases those 360degree direction ones can be dragged from the door through the automatic doors to the car at once.
Very welcomed with friendly staff. Extremely clean and nice decor. Comfortable beds. Being so close to airport was great and lovely restaurant nearby suit all our needs. Throughly recommend
Friendly staff. Basic room. Provision for tea/ coffee. Biggest advantage is the proximity to the airport. Walkable distance. Breakfast at PK, restaurant about 1 km away, is equally good. Just outside the motel bus service No 2 available to go to town at cost of 5 NZ$ per head. High speed internet available at no extra cost.
Hardly got any sleep. I think only a couple of rooms got the ceiling to floor window facing the Broadway St and unfortunately we stayed in one of them. Everything else was like everyone described: clean with good WiFi but the noise at night was unbearable. There was always some trucks or cars passing by as this is a main road to the airport. The window is NOT soundproofed - we heard every word when a guy walked pass and on the phone. At some stage I even got up and checked if they are actually closed. I called the manager earlier that night, expressing my concern as I could hear some loud music. He told me he never had any complaints and that was from some random guys in the parking lot. I accepted his reasoning and let it go. How wrong had I been! I should have realized if I could clearly hear some car music from a parking lot nearby, then I would be able to hear everything on the street later on! And we can’t do anything about it since no one would answer the phone after 9pm. Obviously I cant comment on other rooms as I didn’t stay in them but I find it’s hard to believe that the hotel doesn’t know they have a couple of rooms that got terrible noise at night. So if you really decide to book in this one, please double check you are not getting one of those rooms!!!!
By NZ standards the room was surprisingly big, clean & comfortable. The owners were attentive to our needs. I have lived in the area for many years and was surprised that the interior was better than expected.
Nice friendly owners. Helpful. Free airport shuttle. Nice room. Aircraft noise did not disturb. Clean comfortable room. Will stay again should the need arise.
Beautiful room, lovely and clean and very spacious, with everything you could want at your fingertips. Julie-ann is an amazing hostess. I would recommend this motel to all of my whanau and friends.
