1 star is too high as my experience is awful! I received an email that the airplane is cancelled due to flood in Auckland at 4am 7 hours before the departure time. And a following email said the new flight arrangement will be informed within 48 hours. Because my holiday is over and I need to back to work, I don’t want to wait for 48 hours. After several attempts to call Air New Zealand failed- just no one answer the phone for hours of waiting online, I had no choice but went to the counter in the Auckland airport, hoping to confirm the new flight schedule ASAP. I queued in a super long line for NINE HOURS and the airline counter closed ON TIME at 22:30! The counter staff gave me a number card, saying they will serve me first with this number card tomorrow. However, when I showed up in the counter next day with the number card, the SAME staff said this number card is invalid and asked me to start from the beginning of the waiting line! Not to mention the staff’s attitude was super rude, just like they are not responsible to this mess at all! In addition, there is no email regarding to my new flight schedule even after 60 hours! This is my first time to travel with Air NZ and I believe it is also the last time! Until now I still can’t believe this experience is from an airline under New Zealand country name!
On time, clean seats with ample of leg room. Great staff. Beautiful coffee and snacks. Smooth landing. Very creative security video. Great articles and well collated in flight magazine. Proud of you our national carrier.
Their customer service team is terrible. They canceled my flight due to covid and credited my account. I went to rebook today and they said the credit expired even though their website says I have the rest of the year until my credit expires The lady I was talking to put me on hold for an hour and then hanged up! I'm Still trying to get the issue sorted but would not recommend this airline. Potentially thousands of dollars down the drain. I have spoken to several of their customer service team in the past and most of them don't know what they are doing.
They Lost my bag from Australia direct flight. Have not been able to talk to a human and no communication about where it is. Nobody answers the baggage services phone or emails. If you want a good airline that has great customer service then don’t choose AirNZ!
Very very poor service from this airline. I spent 9 hours waiting in line for transfer flight ticket but got nothing. Due to airport flooding issue. Counter there are only three people taking care of transfer tickets. And counter people dont want to work and said 10:30pm it will be close. And ask the rest people to wait til next day 5am. I got order number voucher on that night. But next day I go to counter people directly and they forgot there is voucher waiting ticket and ask me restart waiting in line again. It is same ticket sales office people in these two days.... I will never select this airline anymore. No one is taking care of customers!
Overboard with the flight prices. Not only that it's so tricky, my flights have been canceled three times and instead of refunding the amount into my account. They put it in my Air NZ card for credit- would've been nice to be given the option and have an update on expiring dates for my credit.
Sadly, what was once a superb domestic airline is now quickly crumbling. Flights that aren't late, delayed, or cancelled are now a rarity. Yet airline management seems hell-bent on making up two years of Covid losses as quickly as possible by gouging travellers through the fare prices and cutting minor costs like snacks. I'm guessing Air NZ management now prefer to meet using the reliability of Zoom calls!
Wow Tim - 50975 air nz. Why is he more concerned about my health then the Locum agency or the hospital - non of which cares about my health and well being - I told them that the flight would be canceled because of the cyclone. Thank you Tim, I spent 45 min o. The phone with air NZ
Had one of the worst customer experience I’ve ever had recently. Needed to call them as I was informed of a changed time of my flight that wouldn’t work for me. Each time I had to wait for about 3 hours before anyone would pick up. The worst is that they don’t provide you with any solutions. I wasted about 12 hours of my life waiting on the phone before the issue was finally resolved. Still had to charge me cancellation fees despite it wasn’t my fault that the flight time was changed.
1 star too much . I have made a number of complaints since March 31st. My family 3 altogether traveled from India through Singapore to NZ on the 30th of March and got here on the 31st of March. The reason to choose Air NZ was thinking you were best in this route but I was wrong. My dad is diabetic and was not even provided water and food that was pre-ordered a month ago. My parents and my sister had a very tough time on the flight and came down dehydrated and starving. The aircrew was too rude and provided no proper service. I complained about the same and I requested a response but no response is achieved to date. This is unacceptable and I will have to complain to consumer protection if I do not hear from you. I want a proper response and my refund back.
