Story

Koos & Sandra Lombard, originally from South Africa, decided to create a typical African Safari Experience on their farm in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

After intensive planning and a lot of hard work, they are now proud to invite you to come and visit their piece of paradise in the subtopical Far North of New Zealand.

Guests are accommodated in spacious Safari Tents and the highlight of the evening is when Koos lights the bonfire in the African boma. Relaxation in "Africa style" .

We invite you to come and experience true African hospitality in New Zealand.

Expérience incroyable chez Sandra! Une personne très humaine accueillante et bienveillante! Une déconnexion totale au milieu de la nature, c’est très calme, magique et ressourçant ! L’espace sanitaire est top!! Les douches sont super chaudes avec une bonne pression ! C’est très clean L’espace cuisine est très grand et très fonctionnel ! On a pu cuisiner de bons petits plats Merci encore à Sandra pour sa gentillesse

Nothing beats being able to make a fire outdoors, cooking some food on it and relaxing around it with a nice cold drink. Great place to stay, all the amenities you will need and great customer service provided by the owners. It was lovely dealing with you Sandra. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
A very nice getaway and def somewhere we would visit soon. The only reason for losing a star I because of the consideration of other campers. If large groups come in, rather consider keep them together and not separating them. The other reason for losing a star is definitely the cows! It is a "safari" experience, not a "farm" experience and the smell of the cow dung as well as their loud mooing made it a bit unpleasant at times. But nonetheless, the shower amenities were clean and taken care of and the kitchen area was also loved with the animals. Best feature, the tents, especially when it started pouring down rain the second night! Loved it!
What a beautiful place. So peaceful with the little stream running along the campsite and only 20 min from Paihia! Really comfortable camping here. Have great showers with hot water and a little kitchen area to cook your food if you need a stove. Best thing about it are the little bbq’s bear each tent. They have a bonfire pit which I’m sure will be lit when there’s a few people booked in there. Sandra - thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us. Added to our list of best camping spots in NZ.
stayed there last night and pitched a tent. wonderful accomodation, Sarah's lovely. Hot showers, the possibility to swim in a river that was awesome and a nice kitchen. Recommend!
Lovely surroundings. Too beautiful. Accommodation not the cleanest, ablutions frugal and über-rustic. The sights and good company made up for it though:
Great places to relax and to get away from city life. Very friendly owners. Love the scenery.
We arrived late the park was full but sandra was happy for us to squeeze on a spot as we just had the van. She was very friendly and inviting. Facility's were perfect for what we needed and prise was $20pp for the van. Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed staying at this place and there's room for campervans and I tink tents too, but there's already tents that is on a wooden platform and its pretty cool there's a nice big fireplace and there's BBQ station too and the kitchen is well done. Even if it was 1 night it was still the best, even a river or stream that you can swim in and its pretty crazy
