Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Another review already noted this, but the shower temperature was inconsistent oscillating back and forth, and the windows could use screens to keep out the bugs the windows to my room were open when i checked in. The location is great! Very short walk to the beach, and easy to come and go.
The only good thing about the room is the size of the bed. There was no microwave for n the room which is a big problem for those who are away for work and need to heat meals. The shower was always changing temperature. No sky. And worst of all the pricing was quite high for the quality of the stay.Rooms: 1/5
I booked 3 rooms back in October 2021 for Jan 2022. I paid a deposit of $800. Due to lockdowns and being in red i had to cancel the room. I contacted the manager Katie on numerous occassions about a refund. But nothing. Dont book unless you know for sure youre going. Otherwise Katie wont refund you.
Katy and her sister made us really welcome to the motel. We had our bikes and surfboards and we were given a room with a garden to put them in and use of their hose for the bikes. The room was spacious, warm and clean. We could walk across the road in wetsuits and surf and then return to a piping hot shower. Perfect!Rooms: 5/5
Comfortable, near the beach, car park right outside room, includes small kitchenette area. 3 stars: the plug for the bedside lamps & the light switch for above the bed is behind the head-board of the bed. Also, the fan in the bathroom doesn't work. The temperature of the water in the shower kept changing; I had to keep adjusting the tap.
Absolutely loved this place. Not flash if you like flash. Those of you enjoy homely friendly and accommodating this place is for you. Clean and stylish. We had an upgrade on arrival. We would have stayed longer if we had the chance. This place will be the only place we will go for accommodation next time we are in Gisborne. Cross the road to the beach and minutes distance driving to town centre. Thanks to the proprietors for the attention to making us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Large spacious rooms, close to beachfront, very tidy grounds, rooms service daily with warm friendly smiles always helpful nothing is a problem so I stayed an extra three nights recommend this accommodation very highlyRooms: 5/5
very nice modern european style bathroom.very comfortable,the organic coffee was a nice touch ,highly recommended
Beautiful and warm room with plenty of close amenities and the service was fantastic as a change of circumstance had us booking at 10pm the night of and they were very accomadating of that.Rooms: 5/5
