Emmmm… People work there are very nice, the food is so-so. Sorry to say that, lots of Thai restaurant just in Christchurch that I can think of will be better than this.

Very slow service. Restaurant was not busy, with staff just standing around. My meal was average, very little to no flavour. A mild fried rice. Needs improvement. We have been here many times but have left this time disappointed.
Excellent value for money. The taste is great. The restaurant has a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Background noise is not a problem, it is a good place for group discussion. Very friendly service. The option to bring your own drinks is also great!

Great atmosphere. Really nice staff. The big fish tank is a good attraction for the kids. Unfortunately my chicken pad se ew was a little bit dry. However, I would return. :
Very disappointed, poor management of resources and staff.... for large booked groups expect delays or the need to leave, like us... lacked standard in hospitality and common courtesy it was a birthday dinner ending with the birthday girl in tears and apologising to us... We had a birthday booking 10x total, booked/arrived for 5.30pm start, paid for drinks and walked out at 7.15pm No Mains...Needed Mcdonalds on way home... Kept getting told that short staffed, BUT they kept taking phone orders and walk ins. They offered to start our Mains as a priority if we stayed... not we had ordered our mains at 5.45pm We did ask if we could politely discuss with Manager who was in kitchen advised no too busy... in the end was actually advised by their own staff she didn't Manager want to talk to us :- Turns out we weren't the only ones, a group of three whom had starters walked off and we saw them a few doors at the F&C shop. Abalone Thai... we travelled out from Rolleston specifically to enjoy your fine foods to celebrate a birthday as we have done many times before all to the disappointment of tears, frustration, lack of understanding, empathy and most important of all good hospitality... you wasted our time...
Delicious thai food with ATTITUDE! Very delicious food, reasonable price, and friendly service. Highly recommend it. Will definitely come back.
I love this place its been consistently amazing for the last ~10 ? Years. Tried many other Thai food places in Christchurch to much disappointment after Abalone thai sets the bar really high. Looking forward to many more amazing meals.Food always fresh and delicious and incredible service. The soups amazingFood: 5/5
