As most rental companies, they are predatory and terrible. My lease said I was only to cover a carpet cleaning, so of course not only did they charge my entire deposit, but they charged me an extra 500 on top for other random things. I cleaned the place and I did what I was obligated. Also the house was 100% garbage and falling apart when I started renting, Do not expect a deposit and EXPECT to pay way more for stuff that was not your fault. Do not trust. We were In a desperate situation and the messed us up financially in the end anyway.
Worst company to go through to try and get a house through, tell you they accept section 8 vouchers but turn around and tell you that you have to have 3x the rent on-top of the voucher, why would I need to have 3x the rent if my voucher is covering the rent more then what the house is asking for and If I had 3x the rent I wouldn’t be on section 8 housing for them to ask of this is ridiculous. Why they have so many houses on affordable housing butyl you can not get into none of them because of that reason. You shouldn’t offer house for section 8 participants if they have to make 3x the rent.
They rented my pregnant wife a apartment with mold. When we told them about it they sent out a unknowable tec. They never disclosed the condition of the mold to us or anyone in in the surrounding apartments. Several weeks go by and no returned phone call. Finnaly the owner called and suggested we move directly above the affected unit. I pleaded to them that my wife was pregnant and we did not want to be anywhere close to mild. And asked if they had any other units available to move in that were not close to the affected apartment. She said no and stated i could be let out of my lease due to the circumstances. And that was highly reasonable.. but only to find out they charged us the remainder of the lease only to tack on 3500$ worth of alledgid damages on top damages that were there when we moved in? Misty burger is a scam artist. I currently know the renter who lives in the same unit and the same damages i was charged for are still in the same condition and as for the mold it was simply painted over.. Again if you dident understand Misty booger is obviously a crook that does not care about the health of her tennants or regaurd for the owners home
I’ve rented a cute little cottage downtown for 4 years- loved every moment of the experience!! Staff is helpful and always friendly- anytime I’ve had questions, everyone is very gracious!! If I wasn’t moving out of state - no way I would have left my cute rental
This place is the worst property management I've ever interacted with. They are simply collecting the check and burying their head in the sand. We contacted them for months with issues happening on our property and were told they were working on it or their answers wouldn't change. We finally had enough after nine months of no change and told them we were moving and surprise they did something but by then it was too late. We found a better place to go. Guess we will see what the next battle has in store as I'm sure they will try to pull more money from us. Long story short everyone stay clear! They will nickle and dime you until you say uncle!
They have a disabled tenant with Cerebral Palsy. That they have bullied into paying for expensive landscaping. Such as tree and bush removal. Even though the lease says "maintenance". Which in most leases. Is Understood to be as basic mowing and weed control. To "maintain" the property with expected aging and ware. Not read like they are trying to con a disabled person. That struggles to walk and is often seen in the yard with a walking stick. Using it as a balance assistive device as the tenant pulls weeds and waters the lawn. They have told their disabled tenant. That it is the tenant's responsibility, to pay for the removal of dead and dying 22 year old bushes and dead and rotting trees. Using the HOA to bully the disabled tenant. Into to paying for the Advanced Landscaping mentioned above. Causing a disabled person undue expenses beyond "Normal Yard Maintenance". Such behavior for their own financial gain is morally bankrupt.
I never had a problem until we moved out...and this has been a recurring theme with them apparently. We took VERY good care of the house..especially at move-out, but they used our deposit for things they shouldn't have blinds that were already difficult, scuffs and marks that were already there and documented, extra cleaning services when we cleaned better than what we moved in to. I would say be VERY specific how you mark move-in/out inspections and take pictures/videos of everything. Unfortunately, you're already gone when they do their inspection and decide what they want to spend your deposit on. This has been a problem with my rental experiences in Colorado Springs in general.
I have a $200 charge because I can't submit proof that I did infact try resetting the breaker before putting in a maintenance request. ALSO the electrician told us that they asked him to search around for lease violations while he was here. He was nice enough to warn us. All these little loopholes you guys use to screw over families and get more money are TRASHY you will get your karma.
