I had a great experience at 101 Asian Supermarket. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The environment of the shop is clean, well-organized, and comfortable to walk around in, which makes shopping there really enjoyable.nnThey have an amazing range of products, and everything feels fresh and well-stocked. It’s clear they put effort into maintaining a high standard. Overall, it’s an excellent place to shop, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and reliable supermarket experience.
Love shopping hear, so much variety. I treat the kids and buy random things, stuff weve not had before and they have clean meat options for hot pot, and delish steam pork buns. Friendly staff, and yes I sometimes go home with a house plant
I recently bought a pack of mixed coconut jelly from this supermarket and was lucky enough to find a “surprise flavor” — one of the jellies was moldy and black. At first, I actually thought it was some kind of grape flavor, but after finishing the whole pack, I realized something was seriously wrong. I kept the receipt and took photos, then went back to the store to see how they would handle it.nnAt first, the cashier was polite and quickly called over someone who seemed like a manager. She told us we could either get a refund or an exchange. Sounded pretty responsible at the time. But when my partner and I made up our minds to get a refund and went back to the counter, the original “manager” had magically disappeared, and another staff member came over with a completely different attitude — offering us just one single jelly and saying we should’ve brought the moldy one back with us.nnHonestly, it’s not about the jelly or the money. The basic thing here is that if your store sells a product with a safety issue, at least make the process clear from the start. Don’t give your customers mixed messages and have your staff pass the responsibility around like a hot potato. It just leaves a bad impression.nnFood safety is the bare minimum for any store. I sincerely hope they work on their internal communication and handle these situations better in the future — and maybe avoid giving customers any more “surprise flavors.”
The perfect place for anyone who loves cooking Asian cuisine! They offer a wide variety of products at reasonable prices, and the friendly, helpful staff make the shopping experience even better.
After shopping here for a year, I’ve been suspected of stealing without any evidence.nThis supermarket does not provide shopping bags for purchase, so I have been bringing a backpack to shop here for nearly a year. During that time, no one ever told me that I was not allowed to enter with a backpack.nnToday, at the checkout, after I had already put the items I purchased into my bag, the cashier asked me to take everything out so she could check whether there were any unpaid items inside. I felt offended. She told me that this had always been the supermarket’s policy, but in fact, no one had ever mentioned it to me before.nnI can understand that the supermarket may have such a rule to prevent theft, but I cannot accept being suspected of stealing without any evidence.nnTo be clearly, firstly, I used the trolley you provided. Secondly, Your sign is placed in a very busy area at the entrance, where it is easy to miss and unlikely that anyone would stop to read it. Third, for people who do not drive, can you really imagine someone carrying a free cardboard box full of groceries down the street?nnI respect your policy, and I am not complaining about that. But please also respect your customers. Being treated with suspicion when I have never stolen anything is unfair in itself, and a long explanation does not undo the hurt that has already been caused.
