Visited today with my daughter. We loved hanging out in the Rock and Octagonal pools. She enjoyed the river part. The hydro slides were great with a short wait. The tube ride was a little longer but nothing compared to other parks I’ve visited. The facility is clean and well kept with lifeguards who are actively keeping watch. Saw one ask an eager 7yo who was swimming alone, to stay on the stairs till their parent came out of the changing rooms and I noticed they kept an eye on her til an adult turned up. The family change room and ladies facilities were clean. The shampoo and conditioner in the showers smelled awesome after being in the sulphur pools. The spinner for togs in the change room was very cool and a great way to get the water out of swimmers.
Thoroughly enjoyed this place with 2 kids and 3 adults spending a fair bit of time there. The pizzas at the cafe are pretty good as well. My favourites are the Rock pools as the temperature is just right. Would love to go back when in the South Island again.
This is a must visit place with an easy distance from Christchurch. Very organized, well maintained, clean and unique. There are hot water pools with varying temperatures for everyone. My favorite was the aqua therapy pool that had nice massaging water jets to sooth the body and relax. There are even water rides - the conical thrill and super bowl that is easy and fun. The lazy River was short but nice. All these were included in one flat fee of $38 for adult. The changing and shower rooms are excellent. Lockers- opened with wrist bands are available at a reasonable for your valuables. I went there thinking I would stay two hours but actually stayed 4 hours. Enjoyed the visit and highly highly recommend for anyone visiting Christchurch.
Special place for those just wanting to relax in hot pools or beat the kids down the water slides. Reasonable entrance fee under $30. Can stay for the day or come back later. Changing areas are clean and well kept. Showers have nice shampoo and condition free to use. Plenty of places to sit and read a book and cafe for the coffee and cake. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Quite a busy place when we went. There was a long line outside with people to go in. This was during red light level. Only 500 was allowed in. So, when people left, then people was allowed in. They offer $35 on bookme as discounted rate but funny it is $35 entry for adult. I find that bit cheeky. However, I enjoyed the facilities. The overcrowding is something we can not have control over. We found it difficult to find a park.
Loved it here and would highly recommend if you’re in the area. We went in the afternoon and spent about 2hrs enjoying the hot pools. Lots of different pools to try with differing temps, a couple of hydroslides if you’re game, a cafe and gift store on-site, lockers and towels for hire and a spacious changing room with hot showers body wash provided, and equipped with hairdryer and togs-dryer. Will be back for sure
amazing place to unwind after some hiking. worth the time to come out here. only minor complaints are the water slides are very very mild and there aren't any super hot pools, only warm and slightly hot.
Really relaxing and fun to do ! Waterslides were a good addition to our relaxation moments ! Our favorite pools were the aquatherapy pool and the cascade one, but it was so nice to get to try so many ! It’s clearly the beginning of the high season and we went during the week so it wasn’t too crowded ! We never had to wair for the slides and the pools weren’t overcrowded !
This is quite relaxing place where you can have sit in water for some time in the lap of nature. We went there in morning and enjoyed it for 2 hour. If you are going first time order the ticket from online else you might have to end up in queue. Once you enter hammer spring don't forget to take locker key for at least 2 hr, bathrooms were clean here pools were quite good, there will be number of pools and some pools were very hot and some will be of moderate temperatures. You can have free slides as well so must try that as well apart from this there is swimming pool as well go for it also
This place was highly recommended to me by others so I am paying it forward. Charming village with loads of parking very accessible. The picturesque road to Hanmer is a prelude..highly recommended, can't wait to visit in winter will be a proper wonderland
