Came here for dinner with a large group and the night started poorly as we had specifically booked one large table only to find out that they had given our table to another larger party. Eventually rectified this when the other party cancelled but had to speak to several staff and the manager, who wasn’t helpful at all. We found the food was extremely overpriced - for example a Peking duck is almost $100 but the skin wasn’t crispy at all. Everything else was pretty average; the only other dishes which I might recommend were the fried rice, sweet and sour pork and salted egg squid. Overall poor service and overpriced food but if you’re looking for a Chinese restaurant with nice atmosphere and don’t mind paying then sure, try your luck and hopefully your experience is better than mine.
Nice restaurant and very beautiful place. Service not so good, slowly and no more attention at the guests. Good food but price/quality high. I recommend if don't have a another place to go.Food: 5/5
$.⁣ $.⁣ $.⁣ $.⁣ ⁣ . $.⁣ . $.⁣ . $.⁣ $.⁣ ⁣ $.⁣ They come in threes. The custard was adequate, and the outer crust is not bad; it is airy and light. The custard isn't flowing out of the bun, and I think that's because it's been slightly overcooked.⁣ ⁣ $.⁣ The outer crust is slightly thick, and the egg custard isn't particularly bouncy. It's a little bland in terms of flavour.⁣ ⁣ $.⁣ It's cut into large cubes and has a slightly dryer texture. Personally, I think it's missing the XO flavour.⁣ ⁣ $.⁣ There are four of them, with one prawn at the bottom. It appears to be quite chunky, but it's lacking in flavour. I'm expecting to taste pork juice, but there is none.⁣ ⁣ & É $.⁣ Porridge is served hot, with the perfect texture.⁣ ⁣ $.⁣ There are five of them, with a little too much gravy and insufficient steam time. Normally, it melts in your mouth and breaks apart easily, but not in this case.⁣ Last but not least, I believe there is a lack of staff, as we have to wait a long time for the dim sum to arrive. Additionally, not all staff members are fluent in English. ⁣ $.⁣ ⁣ FYI: They do not charge for takeaway boxes, but there is a surcharge for card payments.
The location is great. The ambience is nice. Unfortunately the taste of food is poor. Wan tan soup noodles lack seasoning ans taste like plain water. Deep fried soft shell crabs had lumps of salt. Fried carrot cake does not taste authetic. Service is poor. Staff appears unhappy
Highly recommend for authentic and quality Chinese food in Perth. Loved the lobster and roast meats, one of my favourite go to places in town. Professional service with a lovely setting by the water. I came for dinner but would also recommend for dimsum too.
Waited for an hour for our table on the Sunday we went. Good thing car park was free for an hour which covered our waiting time at the restaurant entrance. Food wasn't particularly delicious but the views are beautiful.
Come back after 2 n half years. Too much of people want to enjoy social activities after Covid restriction, there was long queue. Staff didn’t mind how many people at the table, so forgot one to another thing!!! Prawn dumplings and rolls were so bad, steamed from frozen, both cover and prawn were so weird. Good thing was only durian bao dessert
Location was good. Great ambience. Price was reasonable for the quality of the food. There was one waitress that had poor communication skills as she spoke abruptly without being helpful as she was looking away whilst talking to us. The other staff were great. Great experience except that waitress. Thats why 4 stars.
It was one of my favorite dim sum places a year ago… not sure if their kitchen team has changed. The dough skin of their signature soup dumplings is thicker than before. The rice flour roll is average. Prawn dumplings, tofu, are excellent
Venue: sufficient paid carparks outside first 1 hour free in yellow zone. Just at riverside. Very quiet, not like Elizabeth Quay. High-end decoration. Comfy seats. Private collection of big Jade Fossil is behind the reception desk. Mostly seating indoors. Spacious, but not all the seatings have riverview. Common toilets shared with other restaurants. Able to watch dim sum chef making dim sum through window next to cashier --- 8.5/10 Service: it's not busy when visited at lunchtime on a weekday. Sufficient manpower when I visited last time. Refilled hot water to tea pot frequently and spontaneously. Two outstanding wait persons were very friendly and helpful. Wait-persons keep pulling dim sum trolley to promote dim sum. Served made-to-order dishes fast. Chili oil is served for each table and client. --- 7.5/10 Food: normal Cantonese dim sum presentation. Claimed using gourmet ingredients. Price on high side but acceptable for venue, atomphere, and service from $7.5 - 21.9. Normal portion. Chinese Tea, $3 pp, and tea bag is used no loose tea leaves. - Braised E-fu Noodles with Duck meat & Shiitake Mushroom ,$ 24.8: make to order. It's not usual hong kong style e -fu noodles, but not bad. Noodles were al dente, and just right with the sauce. There are bean sprouts and straw mushrooms. No Shiitake mushrooms indeed. --- 7/10 - Red Rice Flour Rolls with Crispy pastry Prawn filling, $16.9: made to order. Served with Sesame Sauce and sweet soy sauce ? Sushi soy sauce? Prawn paste filled in the middle of crispy derp-fried dough cruller . It is still crispy when served. --- 7.2/10 - Baked Sautéed Duck Bun with Black pepper, $ 12.9: it looked big. Crispy outside, but small portion of Duck meat filling. Black pepper wasn't very strong. --- 7/10 - Beef Balls & Bean Curd Skin 4pcs, $ 11.9: uneven size. Likely Minced the beef by the chef's hand not by food processor. Meat wasn't very fine or silky. Wait-person pour Worcestershire sauce directly onto the beef balls if you want Worcestershire sauce. But I preferred serving the sauce separately. Meat beef was under-seasoned itself. --- 6.5/10 - King Prawn & Pork Siu Mai 4pcs,$ 11.9: Crab roses on the top. Filling was ok, but traditional --- 6.5/10 - Signature King Prawn Dumplings 4pcs, $12.9: not very good wrapping technology, not usual Prawn Dumpling's shape. One Dumpling skin was already broken. Shame. --- 6/10 - Steamed Beef Ribs with Black pepper sauce,$ 13.9: Not much meat. Some chewy meat. Sauce was ok Not to order next time --- 5.5/10
