This was my 2nd visit in 3 weeks. The 1st time was a large group for a birthday. The place looks great, the main Dining room is beautiful with a nice atmospher! All the food was great, cooked to perfection & well presented....we did have an issue with 2 of the meals which was rectified promptly & professionally by Josh, who I learnt at the time was quite new. Came back today for lunch with my son & enjoyed another lovely meal. Received great service again from the Restaurant manager Josh who remembered my last visit, the other wait staff were also very friendly & attentive. Oysters Kilpatrick were very nice, good quality & flavour, I felt the bacon was a little lacking though. Seafood Linguine was tasty & my Duck Breast was cooked beautifully, still pink in the middle. It appears a lot of the teething problems found in previous reviews have been resolved....I really hope it stays that way, such a great venue to have in our local area.
I do not recommend this pub. We took the kids for lunch and the meals were incredibly expensive for the quality and quantity. The menu is very limited and the kids menu meals are at adult pricing for a pub. The photo is a ‘kids tacos’.. $14, only one small soft taco, minimal filling and a handful of chips - no free kids drink, no free cup of ice cream.. The kids were so disappointed. 3 young kids cost $42.. The adult meals were just as bad and poor quality. Definitely won’t be back there again.
We had a couple of drinks last night. Great atmosphere. best place to chill. I loved the beef tacos and prawn salad. The pork belly was crunchy and tasty. Quick service for a very busy night. will be back for sure because of the excellent service and yummy food! definitely
Very disappointed with the restaurant. Food takes an hour to get to the table. Entrees are forgotten about and as the picture shows not worth eating. It's onion rings apparently. Vegetables and steak are served cold. Won't be going back.
Took my mum here for a birthday lunch. I got the pork burger and mum got the French schnitzel. Both very very nice meals. The schnitzel was not over cooked and it was tender. Pork burger, wow, cracking on the burger amazing. Service was very friendly. The owner even gave us a eumundi ginger beer taster, also very nice. Definitely love this place.
A fantastic renovation along with new staff have improved our recent experience. Highly recommend that you consider here for either a meal or just for a drink. The pricing is very reasonable and the quality of the food is very competitive. Only issue appears to be that the oysters are extremely small compared to the other local offerings.
All considering it was recently reopened. Over all it was good, the pork was tasty but maybe a bit rich on the fennel seed. The lamb was well cooked but maybe a bit small in portion. The side of onion rings was very good although the green beans was very salty. The cocktails where simple but well executed. Great service from Izzy and fantastic cocktails Eric.
This hotel is quite nice, clean and very spacious. Chips do not make much sense, as they are not 'pub' chips steak house/beer battered but more so french fries from McDonalds. Food service was quick and the bar had a wide variety of alcohol to choose from. Bit strange that one has to pay for the sauce separately to the cost of the meal. Good value for money in regard to the food portions and the food portions are very excessive compared to other taverns in Brisbane. John and Trent on the staff were quite professional and helpful.
Just wow! What a beautifully renovated venue. Our meal was fantastic - the venue prides itself on rotisserie meats and they definitely didn’t disappoint, the meat was delicious. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. I am excited to return to enjoy good food, drinks and entertainment!!!
Was recommended the rotisserie share platter and couldn’t have been more pleased. We had the lamb and beef with sides of greens and seasonable vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty, service was very good, super friendly. Can’t wait to return soon, thanks team keep up the great work!
