Waited several minutes to be seated for lunch, finally we approached the bar and got some service. Seated by someone from the bar, but she didn't ask us if we wanted drinks (we did want drinks!). We looked at the menu and found it completely uninspiring. Decided to have some oysters and then leave... Oysters were sold out... We couldn't leave fast enough. Also the music was too loud and not very appropriate (AC/DC really?). We went to nearby Charlotte's Kitchen and had a nice meal. Later a friend who lives in Paihia said "35 degrees is well known around town as being complete rubbish". OUCH! The reviews certainly show they need to rethink just about everything.

Wow thank you for the delicious food. The staff was very friendly and we didn't wait long to be served, we even got free champagne to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Thank you guys for making our experience one to remember.

Had a late breakfast but from arrival it seemed the staff were not happy about us being there, can't work that one out, we did want to buy and spend, but obviously they don't care. We ordered a cooked breakfast but were told different items were not available, come on, it's midday, not a Friday night late night meal. The taste of the food and "free range eggs" was totally off. I see the ratings are on the low side and that speaks for itself. My advice, go somewhere else.

Right from the start it went badly. 1. concierge couldn't understand enough English to distinguish "I have a table for Andrew" with "can I have a table" 2. table was grubby, I mean, grime buildup from a few months with no cleaning products (I could scrape it off with my nail) 3. bread was described with butter, came with small dish of oil. Plus small spot mould. 4. fish was well cooked, balanced on dead broccoli. I mean yellow and drooping and raw. I would've been embarrassed to give my own guests anything that colour. 5. eventually we were asked if we wanted dessert - same waitress walked in and out of the bar area several times before she remembered. 6. wife ordered chocolate terraine. it was tiny. were asked if we wanted second spoon! was a complete joke. 7. got up to pay... no sign of anyone. had to wait. as did 3 new arrivals. $106. Views are cool; food staggeringly disappointing. Wouldn't bother going back.

This restaurant is ridiculously overpriced when you look at the quality of the food. I guess the restaurant doesn't care because there are always new tourists coming who have to catch a ferry or something so they dont have the time to complain about the food. I had the prawn dish and my friend had the chicken salad. Salad was mushy, chicken was bland and prawns were so overcooked that is was like eating chewing cum. I gave 2 stars only because the restaurant has a great atmosphere at the waitresses were friendly. The food was 0/5.
