I came to 3 Gringos twice during my stay in Vincentia and both times I was very impressed with the meals. The first time we got fajitas to share pic attached - a mix of seafood and chicken and they were fantastic and so flavourful. The second time I got the beef chimichanga which was absolutely delicious and my husband got the creamy prawn enchilada which was also great. 5/5 for the food - full of flavour and great presentation. And, good portion sizes. Friendly and quick service. Will definitely be returning when we're back in the area!
Great Mexican food, fresh, well cooked. We enjoyed melt in your mouth calamari and fish tacos for entrees. Then Fajitas for mains, GF available. More than enough and left very full and satisfied. Service friendly and efficient, will definitely return on our next visit. BYO wine as not licensed, mocktails can be ordered. Thank you
Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to.. nothing fancy just a delicious mexican feed at a good price.. the burrito was so good with great spice and salsa had a good kick, the corn chip dips was also delicious, special mention to the refried beans dip.. so so delicious!
Highly Recommended Mexican Restaurant meals are mouth watering and plentiful service is first class will definitely be returning with friends and family soon
Girls here are super friendly and helpful, to set up a table for us and a newborn baby. We have ordered two dishes, both were good flavored and chicken was surprisingly good, not dry at all. Sad didn’t have time staying for the desert. this is a good place to enjoy your dinner.
Really great standard restaurant I don’t know much about Mexican food but let me tell you...the food here tastes great!!! I really enjoy dining here. + very friendly staff!! You can bring your own alcohol Prices are just right for the quality and quantity!
As the third best restaurant in Jervis Bay, we expected nothing and yet was still disappointed. The name Three Gringos should have been the first clue, but we still braved its doors. The actual interior of the restaurant was well put together, surprisingly so for what a mainly holiday town had to offer and the staff were nice enough. However things took a turn looking at the menu and upon overhearing a conversation a waiter had with a potential customer, stating that nothing was spicy. We ordered the nachos as a starter and the share platter for dinner, before disappointment hit, realising that the restaurant was BYO only. One positive was the quick service, and had our food being set on the table in no time. The nachos were quite mediocre, having just cheddar cheese melted over the top of tinned tomato and chips with a small dollop of sour cream, bean dip and guacamole. However, this dish could be forgiven compared to our main. The share platter looked mouth-wateringly good, still sizzling away on hot plates but the first bite was to say the biggest betrayal I had ever felt. For a restaurant with a chilli in the logo, there was no flavour whatsoever. The beef wasn’t even salted and tasted vaguely like high school camp mystery meat, the mixed seafood was bearable but the dried salt on my shoes would have had more taste. The vegetables were bland and miserably squishy, the bread would have been the saving glory but even Coles home brand soft tac shells tasted more like real bread. You couldn’t call them fajitas, the closest thing you could probably say was that they were the distressingly boring spin-off of all Mexican-inspired meals. We decided then and there that we will never will talk bull about Guzman Y Gomez again. In the end, we finished only half the meal, smiled and paid for it before realising how sick it made us and we ran back home to clutch our stomachs and our purses in pain. Fair warning to anyone who comes here, if you’re looking for the taste equivalent of a cardboard cutout of culturally appropriated Mexican food, I’m sure you’d be satisfied with your experience. If not, please go elsewhere. Sincerely, a disgruntled couple taking turns on the toilet
What is going on here?! We visited this restaurant based on the fact that it has a 4+ Google rating from 200+ reviews, which is usually a reliable indicator of a decent restaurant. Boy do I wish I had actually scrolled through those reviews and paid attention to the people who, like me, are baffled by how highly this restaurant is rated. The only explanation seems to be that Jervis Bay is home to a large community of people without taste buds who love writing 5 star Google reviews. We ordered the fajitas for two with beef and chicken for $70. It was as if the chef had only ever seen pictures of Mexican food and thought "Ok I see meat, onions, capsicum... yeah easy, I can cook that." There was no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt and pepper. The accompaniments included shredded cheese from a bag, mashed avocado posing as guacamole, refried beans straight from the can and some mild salsa from a jar. The portions were fairly generous, but there is no way this was justifiably a $70 meal. Save your money and go next door to Coles for an Old El Paso kit instead.
Best Mexican food I’ve ever experienced. Food presentation was on key, taste was amazing. Takes me back to Tijuana when I visited in ‘07. The memories.
Bean Burrito for $23 literally just had beans in it, no capsicum or onions or anything that Mexican food normally has in it. Flavour was good but just totally missed the mark. Sadly I won’t be heading back. Photos of my what I will describe as “Bean Puree” filling.
