It was our first time dining here, and overall it was terrific. We dined here on a Thursday when they had Throwback Thursday, and a DJ played those great old hip-hop songs. I am a big fan of 90s Hip-hop, so I enjoyed the vibe. We ordered Nachos and two cocktails as starters and found that all the food items were less than $10. Nachos were plentiful, and the blue Hawaiian was delicious. We got a burger and salad at the beginning for the main course. The server told us that the burger was temporarily unavailable due to some reasons, so we chose chicken wings instead. While waiting, the server informed us that the burgers were back and offered us the burger we had ordered without being charged. We spent almost two hours at this bar and ordered six cocktails and some meals. The ambiance and decor were great, the servers were amiable, the food was affordable and super delicious, and the bar has a good location near the Queen and Osgoode stations. We were so glad to find this bar and must be back often!
You know those places that have “cheap” prices for food so you assume the food won’t be that good like a “you get what you paid for” well it’s not the case here. The pricing is super affordable, the portions are generous, probably the best Mac and Cheese and crispiest chicken wings I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is poppin’, I loved the vibe and the early 2000s music playing. Perfect place to grab some drinks and quick bite to eat with friends. This place is definitely worth the hype and a must go when you’re in Toronto/downtown.
This place had got the perfect vibe. The overall interiors and the music complements the vibe. The staff is super friendly and the service is quick. The food and drinks are excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to say so much good for the price. The patio might be hard to get since it is buzzing with crowd in summer but the indoor vibe is fun too. I had the best experience and would highly recommend the place for a fun date night or a casual hangout.
Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambience 4/5 The pricing is affordable, the portions are not decent. Their drinks are worth coming here for. You can taste a lot more without burning a hole through your pockets if you come here during their power hours! The Falafel burger was one of the best vegetarian burgers we ever had. Mac and Cheese was super delicious as well. The atmosphere is poppin’, I loved the vibe and the early 2000s music playing. Perfect place to grab some drinks and quick bite to eat with friends. This place is definitely worth the hype and a must go when you’re in Toronto/downtown.
Very vibrant bar, usually very busy during Fridays and weekends. The cocktails were decent and you can make the size of your drink to a double if you pay an extra $2. The potato fries disappointed us since it seemed as if they just microwaved them before serving. The bar is usually very loud with music so it could be difficult to have a conversation sometimes.
Tried this place in Toronto because the menu looked good. Unfortunately the food was not good. Atmosphere was more of a younger vibe. Nachos were not very appealing, salsa was sour and weird tasting. Our creamy spinach dip was curdled and not creamy at all . The burger was ok but did not have any sauce which made it bland. Tacos were a no go, again the salsa was bad and the rubbery textured taco shell was horrible. Salt and pepper wings were old and hard. Service was very slow paced and overly relaxed. We paid $40.00 for all of this minus the spinach dip as it was bad. Honestly a place for really young people.
I always pass this place from work and heard they have $5 meals. Prices have obviously gone up due to covid but its still fairly cheap under $10-15. Portion sizes are a bit on the lighter side but you can always order more. They only take cash or credit. Food was decent but service was really slow. Our waiter decided to clean up our table first before paying the bill, which took like 15mins since she made 3 rounds. Would definitely dine inside next time because it was very hot on the patio.
Can’t argue the food was good and if that alone was the rating they’d be a 5. However, it’s hard not to ignore the fact that the service was very slow and refills once we finally got a drink we’re impossible to get. Therefore a 4 star.
The food at QSW was delicious. Even though the prices are extremely low, you're essentially paying with your time when you dine there. They delay your service by at least an hour just so you sit there and buy drinks or appetizers. I went there on lunch break at work, and I was late 45 min because the food didn't even show up until 1 hour later. Great food, great atmosphere nonetheless.
Good place to sit out on a warm day but average food. The chicken wings tasted like supermarket frozen wings tossed with sauce we had a plate of both hot chilli and honey garlic. Burgers are decent but they don’t tell you the dip and the fries cost extra. The servers are nice and friendly, with the drinks decently priced. Wouldn’t come for the food though.
