1821 was our favourite family restaurant so we were really happy when they reopened down the road as M.I.M 1821. The Greek inspired food is delicious and plentiful and the service was warm and friendly. And the decor makes you feel like you have traveled to a Greek island. It is the perfect place to meet up with family and friends.
Probably the best Greek restaurant I have ever been in to. Great food meant to be shared with friends. Very nice cocktails, extensive list of ouzo and an impeccable service makes it a perfect place to go with friends or fancy night out with the missus. They also have the almost all you can eat option if you are looking for a banquet for 85pp and kitchen closes later than most restaurants in Sydney. Worth the visit!
I came with a group of friends tonight, we were so excited to try this restaurant. Some of food is good some just ok. The waitstaff who served us, seems not happy to be there. Not friendly, we felt that he rushing us to order and rushing us to paid our bill. Very lack in Customer service. That’s why people gave tips because they provide good service. Once we left this place, we’ve decided not a place that you want to go back. This feedback is not a critic but this is for you guys to be better. I work in the hospitality industry too so I know how hard it is. Anyway good luck
Pretty nice Greek place in Pitt street, we did the feed me for our Christmas party and all the food was delicious, especially the lamb and potatoes. Service was a little slow for drinks but they where super busy and there where 30 of us
We were fans of the 1821 restaurant, and are most happy it has been 'reincarnated' as M.I.M. Really interesting interpretations of classic Greek food, with a knock out wine and cocktail list. Adding to the fantastic food and wine is the excellent décor of the restaurant. Service is always friendly and helpful
Very yummy food and amazing atmosphere. Best pita bread I’ve had and roasted eggplant dip was amazing.
The service is great. Lovely, staff and interiors. The food is average. I wish they added salt to the slaw salad and made softer pita bread. We ordered 3 entrees and one main- Spanakopita Greek Spinach Feta Pie with Filo Pastry. The latter was delicious would recommend if you are a group of three.
Had lunch on Friday when the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. I was greeted promptly and shown to my table where the menu was explained and water options provided. The food is amazing and quite authentic with healthy portions. The grilled octopus was a standout for me as was the saganaki. I can't rave enough about yiayia's chips with the optional fried egg, sensational. Definitely worth making the effort to dine here.
Great food. Lamb shoulder was sooo tender. All good we ordered had oregano definitely was overkill - way too much oregano. No coke - for all you Coca Cola lovers.
This is probably the most authentic Greek restaurant that I've ever been to. It's reasonably new but provides great atmosphere coupled with great food and drinks. A must try for Foodies everywhere.Food: 5/5
