Story

The Bistro @ 169 Darlinghurst is a licensed venue open 7 days from 7am for coffee and all day dining. We are also open late Wed - Sat evenings for dinner and drinks.

Our iconic location on the corner of William St and Darlinghurst Rd has rich history and chequered past. Along with our sister venue, Tatler club, (the perfect spot for a clap & a whistle), a Sydney institution, we’ve embraced our heritage and landmark Sydney location across from the Coke sign. We sit proudly on the border between Kings Cross and Darlinghurst and have some of the best people watching in town.

Our dog friendly, North facing courtyard is perfect for all day dining, the bar area is ideal for a quick coffee or solo diner and our dining room - stylishly designed and filled with large scale artworks by George Raftpoulos - is a quiet place to unwind with friends.

Like any successful business we are the sum of our parts, we have a great team, quality suppliers like Pablo Rusty’s coffee roasters and support from our local community. We hope to see you at 169 Darlinghurst soon.

Good place for bottomless brunch with great selection of cocktails and nice food. The service was speedy and very efficient, always making sure our glasses were filled. Our waiter Max was amazing and so much fun ;

Good for breakfast. Service a little hit and miss as they like many cafes have high turnover of staff. Today I was midway through eating my meal when a waitress asked if she could move me to give my table to others. I literally had my fork in my mouth. Given the 25 price tag for an egg dish - that’s really bad service.

Splendid.,,  Initially thought.-..Ratherr. Then realialised   . Twas.....jolly well...very.. . ..worth visiting  !

Nice juxtaposition from the hustle and bustle outside, broad breakfast menu offered all day. They also do a bottomless brunch which seems to be pretty popular with staff on their toes for refills.

Our group of 8 had a table booked for brunch and we had a great time. Staff was friendly, thanks to Max and the whole staff that helped us. Food and service were very nice. Was my first visit, and I will be back.

One of my favourite places in Sydney! They have a great menu with delicious vegan, vegetarian and GF options. The service is great, and is one of the only venues offering cocktails as part of their bottomless brunch option.

Good food, fun atmosphere and nice location to sit and enjoy breakfast. The staff is friendly and laid back so not the place to stop if your looking for a quick in and out.  The breakfast, muffins and coffee are well cooked and flavored.

Quite cozy. Good food. Loved the crunchiness of the Bacon n Egg Roll. The muffin was good too though a tab sweeter for my taste buds.
